You and Me

The song “you and me” by Lifehouse was playing, she immediately started to smile. It was one of her all time favorite romantic songs.

“Cause it’s you and me and all of the people
With nothing to do, nothing to lose
And it’s you and me and all of the people andI don’t know why I can’t keep my eyes off of you”

She got up as she her mind wandered off, back to her fantasy world.
She was dreaming the dream she had always had when this song was playing, as long as she’d remember.
She would be with her true love, and they’d have a wonderful evening, a romantic one.
She’d look stunningly beautiful in her dress, and he’d look handsome as ever.
They would be at his or her place, when suddenly this song would be playing.
He would look at her lovingly, before smiling, getting up and offering her his hand.
She’d take it, and he would pull her up right into his arms, before slowly dancing with her.
Just like in the movies.
And time would just freeze around them.

“All of the things that I want to say
Just aren’t coming out right
I’m tripping on words, you got my head spinning
I don’t know where to go from here”

The would be silent all the time, because words just might ruin it all.
Their faces would glow with happiness, and love.
She would feel her heart skip a few beats, as he makes her twirl around, ending back in his arms, while he’d move his hand to her neck before kissing her tenderly on the lips.
It would be perfect.

As she thought of all this, she found herself dancing on her own to the song.
She giggled when she realized it, but decided to let herself just live the moment.
As she twirled into the night.
